Hey Everyone! So this past weekend I attended a youth conference called YC Alberta, hailed in Edmonton at the Rexall Center (Home of the Oilers) from friday morning to monday at 1 am. I went with my youth group, sisters and our romanian neibour, Im the eldest of three girls. The ride there was rather boring...I mean six hours...come on! I was situated right in the back with my sister so...there was no socialization done by me. I am new to my youth group so i don’t really know anyone but I'm working on forming some meaningful friendships. I did try those new Areo Bubbles, they where pretty good, I suggest Kinder Bueno to tantalize your taste buds. We finally arrived in Edmonton and headed strait to the West Edmonton Mall, I was pretty excited about that. I obviously had to shop with my sisters and Valerica (romanian neibour), I was stoked about spending my $270.00 in about three and a half hours. Unfortunately I was with Emily Megan and Valerica...they are comic junkies and medieval lunatics, every store they wanted to go to I didn’t. We where in a hurry to get everything done, but we only went to the stores I wanted to go to, Urban Outfitters, Winners, Forever 21, and Zara. I went searching for my perfect dress...I was getting yelled at and hearing words like
“Im thirsty” just to tick me off. My sisters where super angry at me for wasting there
“Fun time” In Valerica’s words. First thing was winners, not only I ,but my sisters wanted to go there. I found these really nice shoes from Naturalizer for about $30.00 originally $60.00, I say... a good find. The shoes where black velvet flats with a slight heel and a little strap over the beginning of the toes, the shoes resembled a Japanese schoolgirls or a pair of Mary Janes. My sisters grabbed the things they wanted and then we headed over to Urban Outfitters...thank god it was in the same vicinity. I looked around and felt content (My favorite store ever). I bought a pink lace bra and a black one for my best friend, I also grabbed her a pair of nice tights. I couldn't find anything for my self though, Megan started to get ancy telling me she was dehydrated so we tramped across the linoleum floor to a near juice bar for some mango surprise. I started to get worried I would never find my dress, I went to zara and tried on a dress but it was too big (the only size they had I tried). I eventually went to forever 21 and found a black dress with lace on the top, the dress sort of a had a gothic feel, it was not my dream dress. I still went a purchased it along with a small blue cardigan. I only had forty five minutes left and decided to go back to urban outfitters and there it was my dress it was Pins and Needled Puff Sleeve Chiffon Dress. I didn't know until I got home that I was looking at the same dress online and craving it on me. I quickly ran to the sale section and searched throughout the rack for a blazer, I found the Pins and Needles grey blazer for around $30.00, originally $60.00. We barely had time for food, so we quickly ran to Edo Japan, Grabbed some Yakisoba, and headed for the meeting place. We ended up eating in the hotel later that night, because we had to head to the Rexall quickly. The youth group was lucky enough this year to get floor seats...on top of that, third and fourth row...so we had a heck of an experience. I wanted to get good seats so i ran in front of my sisters and found a patch of empty seats, thinking my sisters would hear me or even see me signal them down was stupid. Eventually the seats where occupied by others from my youth group, The people i sat by where sweet so I had no problem with it... If I was to sit with my sisters I probably would of had a worse time anyway. Friday night went late, until about 11:00 p.m., every night ended with a concert, either by Thousand Foot Crutch, Leeland, and Skillet. On Saturday and Sunday we had concerts we could go to, we decided on seeing Jason Upton, Leeland again and Jay and the Lovebirds...well I decided. Valerica, Megan and Emily all wanted to ride mechanical bulls and jump with bungee cords and Ext. I took charge and told them we where there to listen to music not fool around ( my maturity was kicking in). The weekend finished on Sunday and we headed on back at about 5:30 p.m. winding up home at 1:30 am. The next few days after, I gradually got the flu. Oh well...at least im getting better.
